Answered by Esther, air-sea rescue from SCIII - presume she changed course to get a bit of shelter from the wind to help winchman. Sue
that should be Esther sorry ! Sue
She would have turned into wind on the instructions of the helicopter pilot - it's easier to control a helicopter when flying forward into wind. Much like a weather vane.
Sorry about the "prat" comments this morning trying to rush as was off to dentist for fillings. Have now read the whole story on Scilly Today. Sue
