Prompted by Bob’s excellent photo this morning this one shows my Mum and her Sister and friend about to board Great Western Southern Airlines Rapide to head home from St Marys August 1945

They had celebrated  VJ day there as the Town Beach photo shows, Mum is the leggy one in the middle.

They got a ride on one of the MTBoats during the celebrations, maybe those legs helped persuade the sailors ?
