The begining of the end for Bill Mumfords gardens as us oldies know it,( but as the council like to call it Pelistry Quarry) the first loads of the five loads an hour start to fill it in with waste from the new school build.

I'm surprised the archiologists haven't put a preservation order on the old quarry garden, it is part of our Scillonian heritage after all, although maybe as its advantageous to the local authorities this was not an issue.

I was told that after the planning meeting and after it was passed although they were told it was at Pelistry only two councilors actually knew where the quarry was and some were asking whereabouts it was located at Pelistry!!
