Cruise Ship Borealis

In Crow Sound off Watermill today, because of the strong south wind, was the 61,849 ton Fred Olsen Cruise Ship " Borealis " with1,388 passengers for St. Mary's and Tresco. She came from Southampton and is going on to St. Peter Port. She is ship no. 46 for the year . She was originally a Holland America Line ship Rotterdam. The Rotterdam of the 1960s used to come in very slowly close to Peninnis every three weeks on her way back from New York to Southampton for local boats to get out close to her .......Robin Mawer
