" OLD & NEW " A very old Gibson photo of a row of cottages in Old Grimsby which were demolished a long time ago and the Island Hotel was built around here . ( I was challenged by Richard Pearce to find the spot where it was taken !!! ) Here is my TODAY version of where it might have been taken .......Robin Mawer

Spot on. I can remember an old ruin there in the 50's and think Ruin Beach cafe was so named because of it. There is also another view of those cottages in Jessie Mothersoll's book.
