At about 6.45 am the St. Mary's Lifeboat went to the assistance of the British yacht Raselle with broken steering over 50 miles SSE of Scilly. She was on passage from from Velas , St. George Island in the Azores, with two persons on board.The Lifeboat towed the yacht back arriving here at about 3.15 pm. when she handed her over to the Pegasus which took her in alongside the Old Quay.............Robin Mawer
