Arriving this evening was the single handed Blue Riband Record breaking American rower Bryce Carlson. This was from St. John's Newfoundland to Bishop Rock Lighthouse taking 40 days. ( I believe the previous record was 55 days ! ). First pics - the Pilot Boat " Pegasus " met him west of the Spencer's Ledge buoy, then closer in the Tresco ladies Gig " Czar " met and escorted him in to a big welcome in St. Mary's Harbour.........Robin Mawer
