OLD & NEW. A photo taken in the 1880s by Alexander Gibson of cottages in Old Grimsby, Tresco . They have all gone now and were replaced by the Island Hotel and now replaced again by new cottages and the Ruin Cafe. I was told that the barn on the right is the ruin by the Ruin Cafe ! I think this is as close as I could get to the original but I might be a long way off !............Robin Mawer

Sorry put on the Flying boat site initially by mistake when I was refering to this row of cottages
These houses I believe from earlier searches were on the back lane near where the botheys now stand.
Before they have been mistaken for Dolphin Town.
Greatly enjoy your old and new shots and may there be many more
