OLD & NEW. Hugh House as it was as an Hotel in the late 1800s and one from almost the same spot today. It was built as quarters for the officers of the garrison, c. 1790. It was a hotel in the later 19th century and is now used as offices by the Duchy of Cornwall......Robin Mawer
