Today I found this " Mermaid's Purse " Skate egg case on the beach at Porth Hellick and later soaked it to regain its original size for measurement to help ID . It may be a " Spotted Ray " or " Cuckoo Ray " with the horns broken short or even a "Lesser Spotted Dogfish " egg case. Any ideas welcome !........ Robin Mawer
