That's not unusual at this time of year, Robin.
I frequently (yearly) had a Small Tortoiseshell awake from hibernation in my garage if it turned a little warmer.
Some would put this occurrence down to a recently passed spirit manifesting itself before 'moving on'.
If you have a propensity to believe that sort of myth.
