  This huge cruise ship the " Royal Princess " passed north 15 miles away from Deep Point this evening on her way from Guernsey to Cobh near Cork in Ireland.

She is 330 m  ( 1,083 ft. ) long and carries 3,600 passengers.

Early this afternoon the " Queen Mary 2 " passed east 21 n.miles away south of Scilly on her way to Southampton from the Sates. Too far away to see much of her !

She is a little longer at  364 m but carries fewer Passengers  ( 2.600 ) than the " Royal Princess )......Robin Mawer
