  The Irish Gig Rowers arriving ( earlier than expected ) in Scilly today at 11.57am. having  set off from Dunmore East in Ireland 34 hours earlier at 2.00am. yesterday on their way to hopefully complete a 300 mile Charity Row to Landeda in Brittany, France. Also  the yacht " Emilija " one of the three escort boats.   It is  the " Endeavoar " rowing Challenge with 17 men and women from the Dublin Airport Authority  Charity group. The Gig is a 17 foot glass fibre Celtic Longboat with four rowers and a cox doing one hour stints. We wish them well......Robin Mawer
