The castle itself is on private land with no public access - since
some of the vegetation was removed it is much more visible from afar.
For those who are nor familiar with the site, it was the original
castle guarding the then 'capital' of the islands and ceased to be a
seat of power in the late 1500's with the building of Star Castle
(built in 1593) and the general move to Hugh Town by the populous.
