This adult ( Black-crowned ) Night Heron was on the rocks at Porth Hellick Point this afternoon. It is one of four or five of these, very rare to Scilly, small Herons which were first spotted on Thursday. There was also a young (1st. summer ) one on the edge of Porth Hellick Pool today for a short while......Robin Mawer
