My favourite picture of my stay so far. The Harbour from in front of
the Mermaid. This area has been known over the years as Rotten Row.
Either as seaweed used to gather here and decompose - or because it
tended to gather lots of old boats that gradually rotted away. As with
so much of history, take your pick...

A couple of doors away, is Scillonia Cottage and I have slides (somewhere) of the view similar to yours, but from an upsairs bedroom window taken in the 1969. Must seek it out.

Been watching you photos recently, John. Have thoroughly enjoyed your eye for composition. So nice to see the place we love pictured looking so good during the winter months. Ignoring temperature, that is.
