Gry Maritha on her way back to Penzance this morning her second run this week, I hope as she passed through that Rainbow she picked up the gold as those boys deserved gold medals for the atrocious seas they have had to go through this week, WELL DONE you Guys, and to those few that have been moaning about her not running early in the week well you chose to live on the Islands you can all ways go back to what you call civilisation! pic Phill.

Someone remind me - how did everyone manage before Gry Maritha was bought? Did the Scillonian run all year round?
Thats right Phil the Scillonian and her predecessors ran all through the winter she would come three times a week, Monday Wednesday and Friday, unload in the afternoons load flowers etc in the evenings and well into the night and leave the next morning, she would also take passengers both ways,
someone told me that the first Scillonian only missed 5 runs in a ten year period, and on one trip the passengers were on there for
14 hours as they couldn't get them off.
I have always had the greatest empathy with you all on Scilly, and spwnt many years sending you your requirements in the water pump and water fittings industry. I always pulled out all stops for your orders to get them packed and despatched ASAP. I realised you just couldn't pop around the corner for a bag full of fittings or a new sewerage pump. Blessings to you all at this Festive Season.
I too would like to pay tribute to the gallant crew of the Gry, especially during the recent heavy weather. Well done everyone.
