Hi, I was fortunate enough to be on the Sapphire when a lucky few saw the Hump-backed Whale on Saturday (30/08/08) evening. Ross Newham, a visiting birdwatcher, managed to get photographs of it breeching and the after-splash. He is happy for them to go on Scillywebcam, The whale was photographed 2 miles south of St. Mary's,cheers Alan .
