This is "Pebbles" the Herman Tortoise,quite possibly the first tortoise to have hatched from its mothers eggs on the Isles of Scilly.

Pebbles was born on the 4th of September and is absolutely tiny!( You can see from the 2p piece!)

Pebbles belongs to Ben and Caroline Gillett on St Martins and is doing very well since hatching and is growing fast!
