Work on Friday continuing at Porthcressa to connect the Superfast Broadband cable from the Cable Ship Resolute to the cable that has already been put in from the Telegraph exchange to  Porthcressa. The cable has been laid in a coil under the sand on the beach with enough spare in case of future problems for  reconnection if needed. The last photo shows the four  inner strands which each enclose one fibre optic strand which is less than the thickness of a human hair.
